JYJ’s Jaejoong praised by ‘Protect the Boss’ co-stars for his acting talent

JYJ’s Jaejoong is being highly praised by his senior co-stars
for his acting skills on SBS’s ‘Protect the Boss‘.
According to SBS, the crew kicked off the drama’s official filming
by recording a reception scene at the 63 Building in Yeouido,
Seoul on July 15th. As soon as the cue sign was dropped
by PD Son Jung Hyun,
Jaejoong was said to have slipped seamlessly into his role as
‘Moon Won’.

Senior co-stars like Park Young Kyu, Cha Hwa Yeon,
Kim Ha Gyun, and many others all praised,
“Jaejoong is an actor who will attain greatness.
Let’s all support him so that he can do even better.”
Staff members who had been watching Jaejoong
interact with Ji Sung for their script also complimented,
“They’re truly a great senior and junior.”

Producers of the drama added, “Before filming began,
Jaejoong made sure to check over not only his script,
but his outfit and make-up as thoroughly as possible.
Although it’s his first time acting,
he is as passionate as any other actor out there.”

The drama will begin airing on August 3rd.

Jaejoong Exposes Park Yoochun’s Drinking Habits

JYJ member Kim Jaejoong will be stepping into
the entertainment industry as an actor,
and will appear in SBS TV’s Wednesday-Thursday drama
“Protect The Boss” which will take over “City Hunter.”
playing the role of the outstanding ‘prince of the financial world’,
Cha Mu Won. Recently, journalists managed
to conduct an interview with him.

In the SBS TV program “Good Morning” episode aired in January,
Park Yoochun revealed some embarassing “4-dimensional”
habits of Kim Jaejoong’s, saying “When he is drunk,
he likes to whine cutely, and makes you wonder
“is there any sort of woman who can not love him.”

Kim Jaejoong enjoys drinking, and when reporters asked him
about his drinking habits that were exposed by Park Yoochun,
he said, “I don’t think I “whine cutely” anymore.
Yes, but when I’m drinking with Yoochun and Junsu,
I might still do it a little”

Following that, he talked about Park Yoochun’s drinking habits.
“Yoochun becomes more down to earth and serious when he drinks.
I’m the type of drinker who laughs more comfortably and jokes around.”

Park Yoochun also mentioned that due to his filming of “Miss Ripley,”
he was unable to meet the members often,
but there was an incident where he happened to meet
Kim Jaejoong at some bar,
with the staff at the bar thinking that he and Kim Jaejoong
were together and bringing him to the room where Kim Jaejoong was in.

Kim Jaejoong explained, “This was a total coincidence,
it was quite amazing. I was drinking alone in the room,
and Park Yoochun suddenly walked in,” he sighed continuously,
still finding this incident hard to believe even when recalling it.

“I asked him what he was doing here, and that I was here first.
He said that the staff thought we were together and brought him over.
Eventually, Yoochun paid the bill, and I only drank one small cup.”

Jaejoong can’t wait for ‘Protect the Boss’ to air

As previously reported, JYJ’s Jaejoong
will be formally debuting as an actor next month
through SBS’s new drama, ‘Protect the Boss‘.
Although he’s starred in the 2009 Japanese-Korean movie,
“Heaven’s Postman“, as well as a Fuji TV drama,
this will be his first time being on the Korean small screen.
He’ll be playing the role of the chic but skilled
‘Cha Moo Won’ in a drama about the romance
between a rookie secretary and the rebellious son of a conglomerate.
Jaejoong began, “I let myself take a long time in checking
over drama and movie casting offers.
There were a few that I couldn’t accept because of
the arrangements or because the timing just didn’t fit.
‘Protect the Boss’, however, stood out to me with its fun scenario.
I felt that the role of ‘Cha Moo Won’ would fit me well,
so I decided to take the role.”
He continued, “Since it’s a drama that focuses
on employment issues and the obstacles that people face
while working in companies, the message can be a bit heavy for viewers.
I do, however, feel that viewers will be
able to see a piece of themselves in the drama
and find themselves both touched and happy.”

When asked what the atmosphere on set was like,
he smiled and replied,
“The best. Since I’m inexperienced with acting,
all of the seniors give me a lot of great advice.
On days when we’re not filming, Jisung-hyung will call me
over to his house and rehearse the script with me.
They believe that the actors must be close to each other in
order to bring out natural acting,
so they set up a lot of hangouts where
we can get to know each other.
Senior Cha Hwa Yeon, who plays the role of the mother,
always calls me ’son’ and takes care of me.
Senior Park Young Kyu is also great at looking out for me.
I love going to the film set lately.”
The drama will begin airing after ‘City Hunter‘ ends,
a fact that draws great anticipation since ‘City Hunter’
enjoys the status of being one of the most highly-rated dramas for that time slot.
Speaking on the topic of viewer ratings, Jaejoong commented,
“I don’t think I’m in the position to worry about the viewer ratings yet.
I think the director and staff members will worry about that,
and I’m planning to just focus on my acting.
Perhaps after the drama begins broadcasting,
I’ll pay more attention to the viewer rating.
When Yoochun began ‘Sungkyunkwan Scandal‘,
I saw him checking the reactions online,
even though he’s usually not a computer person.
I saw that and thought to myself, ‘That’s me in the future.
(laughter) I just hope it does as well as ‘City Hunter’.”

Since his partner in the drama is actress Choi Kang Hee,
Jaejoong was asked whether there would be any kiss scenes
like the one with Han Hyo Joo in his movie, “Heaven’s Postman”.
Jaejoong replied, “The full script isn’t out yet,
so I’m not sure whether there will be a kiss scene.
If it’s in the script, I definitely have to do it (laughter).
Because there’s a considerable age difference
between me and senior Choi Kang Hee,
I’m always asked what I think about older women.
I honestly don’t believe that age matters in love.”
Concluding the interview, he said,
“My image as a singer on stage is engraved with my fans,
but I hope that you will all regard me as rookie actor
Kim Jaejoong when watching the drama.
Even if my acting is still lacking, please continue to watch over me.
I will show improvement with each new episode.”
